It has been dubbed as 'Boston's skinniest house'. At just 10 feet wide and 30 feet long, this house is now in the market for $1.2 million, probably making it the most expensive tiny house anywhere.

Located in the city’s North End at 44 Hull Street, the house has been listed for sale by Carmela Laurella of CL Properties, just 4 years after it was sold for $900,000.

The house may be skinny, but not everyone will be comfortable with it being called a 'tiny house'. It is a four-story building with a roof deck, private garden, two bedrooms, kitchen and a bathroom.

At the front of the house is a plaque that reads “The Skinny House (Spite House)”, and it turns out there is an interesting story behind it.

The land on which it stands was inherited by two brothers in the 1800s after their father died. But while one sibling was fighting in the civil war, the other embarked on constructing a large property, leaving only a tiny patch empty.

Upon returning from the war, the angry brother decided to take revenge on his brother by building what's now the skinny house on the remaing piece of their land.

On the first level there's a full size kitchen with updated appliances, custom cabinetry, stone countertop and dining area. The second level has the living area and bathroom. The third level has one bedroom, with the top floor housing the master bedroom.
