Tiny House Regulations and Zoning Requirements in Mississippi
Like many other southern states, Mississippi is not friendly to tiny houses.
There are no laws that regulate or govern tiny homes, and unlike other states that seem to be changing that, Mississippi is dragging its feet.
As a result of little regulation, builders in the state have continued to build tiny houses, often ranging from 100 to 900 square feet.
Some communities have been more receptive but others not so much.
After Hurricane Katrina, many tiny houses and sheds were built across the state, and there was optimism that it would result in a big spike on adoption, but most of this ended up being temporary.
