This Unique Mobile Tiny House Can Provide Immediate Shelter to the Homeless

A new tiny house concept that promises to provide almost immediate shelter to those in need has been presented at the 2020 Mexican Design Open.

The concept merges vehicle and home into one small space, providing the basic minimum shelter conditions.

‘Rodar’, as it has been christened, is a design by Andrés Sáenz and José Alvarez of the Andrés & José design studio.

The design features a pitched roof and chimney, and draws much inspiration from the ambulances that are found in many Latin America streets.

According to Design Boom, ‘Rodar’ is part of a larger collection called habitáculos’ which intends to give new and alternate meanings to public space.
